Fulfilling the objectives, particularly the tasks of collecting knowledge, enabling exchange, and supporting transformation, requires an appropriate and effective organisational structure, which accounts for the intricate TCP organisation, as well as for the different national framework conditions.
To account for these diverse organisational demands, the TCP is establishing a unique operational structure, which consists of a central TCP secretary, ExCo representatives from each participating country that establish the link to the cities, and mandated representatives of the participating and collaborating TCPs (see Figure above). In addition, as part of the End-use Working Party, the TCP will have close ties to the Advisory Board. Cities are indirectly associated with the TCP through the ExCo representatives of the participating countries, which act as intermediaries to these cities.
